HOW IT WORKS

From technical signals to practical decisions.

Each finding comes with a plain-English explanation of why it matters for your store, so you can decide what to look at first.

  1. Free audit from this page

We load your store’s public homepage the way a visitor’s browser would and measure server response time, page weight, the number of requests and how static files are cached. You get a health score from 0 to 100 and the potential issues behind it.

  2. Free audit with the plugin

The free WordPress plugin adds your cart and checkout response times. If you choose to share store data, the report also checks your autoloaded options and background tasks, and shows a revenue-at-risk level based on your order range—a level, never a money figure.

  3. Pro detailed diagnostic

Pro looks at backend and database causes: where your server spends its time on the checkout page, plugin by plugin, with the slowest hooks and queries; your largest settings, leftover database tables, PHP settings and failing background tasks; and a step-by-step fix plan with estimated hours.

Reports show your store at the moment of the audit and point to likely causes. They don’t measure lost sales, and results can vary with traffic, hosting and caching.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What data do you need?

For the free audit on this page: your store’s address and an email for the report. No password, no login and nothing to install.

With the plugin, each audit sends your store’s address, its cart and checkout page addresses and the report email. Store data (versions, database and options sizes, background task counts, and your orders in the last 30 days as a range) is sent only if you tick Include store data in my audit, and you can preview it first. Customer data, order contents and revenue are never sent. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

What can a remote audit see, and what needs the plugin?

The free audit on this page sees only your public homepage: how fast your server responds, how heavy the page is, how many files it loads and whether they’re cached. It doesn’t run JavaScript, so tags added while the page runs are missed, and some hosts block scanners like ours.

It can’t see your database, background tasks or what happens on the server during checkout. The plugin runs inside WordPress, so it can time your cart and checkout, read your database and background task health, and profile your checkout page from your own server.

What does the Pro report contain?

Everything in the free report, plus: a profile of your checkout page by plugin and theme, with the slowest hooks, the most expensive database queries and calls to outside services; your 20 largest autoloaded options; database tables no active plugin seems to use; PHP memory, time-limit and OPcache settings with recommended values; failed and late background tasks; and a fix plan, most urgent first, with steps and estimated hours.

Estimates assume a developer familiar with WordPress and your hosting. The report is information to help you decide what to fix; it isn’t a guarantee of any result.

What happens after payment?

You buy Pro from the plugin’s page in WordPress (WooCommerce → Speed Audit) through Stripe. Pro then appears on the plugin page by itself, and we email you a confirmation, with a license key if your store wasn’t registered yet.

Every audit you run is then a detailed one, until the 4 are used or 12 months pass. An audit that fails on our side doesn’t count. You can ask for a full refund within 14 days if no Pro audit has been used. See our Terms.

Does it monitor my store or change anything?

No. Each audit is a snapshot you run when you choose; there’s no continuous monitoring and no subscription. Neither the scanner nor the plugin changes anything on your store, and nothing is fixed automatically: you decide which changes to make.

When can I get the plugin?

The plugin is launching and isn’t listed on WordPress.org yet. If you’d like early access, tell us through our contact form.
